Send us your application!
Students at the University of Wuppertal have many good reasons to apply for the Deutschlandstipendium. On the one hand, scholarship holders receive €300 per month in financial support, but on the other hand, the non-material support provided by the numerous network meetings, such as the award ceremony and the summer party, is also a good opportunity to make contacts with donors and other scholarship holders. The scholarship is not exclusively performance-related and hurdles in the CV as well as social commitment play a decisive role in the selection process of the scholarship holders. On the following pages you will find information on the application process, but we recommend that you also take a look at the content of the scholarship holders' and donors' pages to gain a good insight into our network.
You are welcome to contact us if you have any questions, but we recommend that you first visit our FAQ page, which can answer many questions.
Incomplete applications will not be considered!
Although good grades play a role in the selection of scholarship holders, don't be afraid to apply with a two in front of the decimal point! In our uncomplicated online application process, the letter of motivation is also important, which can focus on social commitment and special CVs.
The application is designed to save you as much effort as possible. You can easily complete the application within one day - if you want to. The application process can easily be paused and continued at a later date. You will need the following documents for your application:
- A letter of motivation (max. 1 DIN A4 page) in which you can tell us why you are applying for a scholarship and why the University of Wuppertal should support you.
- Curriculum vitae (in tabular form).
- Extract from the credit point account (only applies to applicants who are already in their 2nd semester or higher in the coming winter semester).
- Certificate of enrollment for the following winter semester*.
- Certificate of university entrance qualification.
If applicable:
- Training certificate, if applicable.
- Work references, if applicable.
- Internship certificates, if applicable.
The recipient of your application is the Vice-Rector for Studies and Teaching.
* If you do not yet have your certificate of enrollment for the coming semester, you can save your application and send it at a later date within the deadline. If you do not have your certificate of enrolment by the end of the application deadline, you can still send your application by the deadline and submit the certificate to us later by arrangement. In any case, please wait until the end of August and only send completed applications if possible!
