Central Student Advisory and Counselling Services (ZSB)

Scholarship orientation as part of the General Student Advisory Service

The Central Student Advisory and Counselling Services (ZSB) provides access to the complex variety of information about study opportunities at the University of Wuppertal. We are the point of contact for students, prospective students, pupils, parents and teachers. Our student advisors will be happy to provide you with initial information on the subject of study scholarships as part of the general student advisory service.

Office hour 'scholarship orientation for new and prospective students' via Zoom

The Central Student Advisory and Counselling Services offer committed and motivated new students at the University of Wuppertal individual information opportunities on the topic of scholarships. At the heart of the offer is an informative one-to-one discussion via Zoom, which you can arrange with our staff in the 'Talentscouting' department.

Who is the offer aimed at?

  • Students at the University of Wuppertal in their 1st and 2nd bachelor's semester.
  • Applicants who are about to start their studies at the University of Wuppertal.

Possible counseling concerns are:

  • What scholarship programs are available and where can I get more information about them?
  • How can I find out which scholarship is right for me?
  • Can only students with top grades apply for a scholarship?
  • What kind of (financial, non-material) support does a scholarship provide?
  • What criteria must be met for a successful application?
  • How can I prepare my scholarship application?
  • How do I prepare for the selection process?

The digital office hour via Zoom takes place on the last thursday of every month, with a few exceptions due to public holidays. Registration takes place exclusively via the DFN appointment planner 4.1. Interested parties can register for one of the four available dates (16:00 - 16:30, 16:30 - 17:00, 17:00 - 17:30, 17:30 - 18:00). The access data for the Zoom meeting will be provided by e-mail a few days before the selected date.

Moodle self-study course 'first steps in scholarship orientation'

Via the Moodle platform, the Central Student Advisory and Counselling Services provide all interested parties with a digital self-learning course on the topic of 'scholarships'. The Moodle self-study course "scholarship orientation" provides extensive information for interactive learning. The aim of the self-study course is to provide an overview of scholarship opportunities and to support you in applying for a scholarship. In the two modules 'scholarship orientation' and 'scholarship application', participants can take an in-depth look at their own qualifications, gain an insight into the scholarship landscape and prepare for the application process with a wide range of materials. University members can access the site via their ZIM account; guests can use the 'register as a guest' option. A detailed step-by-step guide explains how to access the Moodle course.
