Up to 100 scholarships for NRW athletes
With the NRW Sports Foundation Scholarship, the NRW Sports Foundation has been supporting up to 100 Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic cadre athletes who demonstrate outstanding performance in their vocational training or studies since the winter semester 2022/23. First-year students can also apply.
As a partner university of elite sport, the University of Wuppertal cooperates with the NRW Sports Foundation and encourages student athletes to apply for the NRW Sports Foundation Scholarship, with scholarship holders receiving 300 euros per month for one year.Applications are possible twice a year. Scholarship funding is only possible in conjunction with talent promotion . The Hochschul-Sozialwerk (HSW) provides advice on BAföG/student finance services and other financial aid, such as student loans, educational loans, housing benefit or the social fund of the Hochschul-Sozialwerk for students who find themselves in financial difficulties through no fault of their own.

Mystipendium.de was launched by the Initiative for Transparent Study Funding (IST) and enables a very differentiated and targeted search for matching funding opportunities in Germany and abroad by creating an individual profile. The site contains over 1000 entries, provides clear information about the application process and is constantly updated.
Free scholarship advice from ApplicAid e.V.
ApplicAid is a registered association of scholarship holders from various funding organizations who support talented young people from educationally disadvantaged groups on their way to a scholarship. The non-binding and free consultation hours of the scholarship advisory service support interested parties in finding and selecting a scholarship that suits them. The advice is provided by young volunteers who have been in this situation themselves and who contribute their positive experiences to the advice process.
