Students are the foundation of every university and therefore also represent the university location. We are therefore delighted that you are interested in supporting our talented young people and are considering sponsoring qualified first-year students and students at the University of Wuppertal.

With the national Germany Scholarship Program, you have the opportunity to support young talents together with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The model is very simple: with an investment of just 150 euros per month (1,800 euros per year), which is also tax-deductible as a donation, you can support an excellent student in a subject of your choice and thus enable the young talent to concentrate more on their respective research or honorary positions. The federal government doubles this funding so that students receive 300 euros per month in recognition of their good performance.

Get to know high-performing junior staff and increase the visibility of your company

Through your sponsorship, you will get to know particularly responsible and qualified students during their studies. As part of our network, you may also be able to inspire future excellent employees and present yourself to a large group of talented students. Exclusive formats are available to you as a sponsor.

If you sponsor five or more students, you will also have the opportunity to link the scholarships to your name and thus achieve even greater visibility as an educational sponsor.

In this nationwide program, you make a significant contribution to further increasing the attractiveness of Wuppertal as a place to study. Let's work together to pursue the goal of binding excellent students and future graduates more closely to the Bergisch region, which will also benefit the local economy. The Deutschlandstipendium is a success story. The scholarship, which was launched throughout Germany in 2011 and in which the University of Wuppertal has been involved since the beginning, has been able to increase the number of scholarship holders every year: from 67 scholarships awarded in 2011, the number rose to 245 in 2023. We hope that this trend can continue and would be delighted to welcome you as a partner in our network!
